Measurement and analysis for estimating direction of arrival in ISDB-T

(in English) An application of SFN-GF(Single Frequency Network – Gap Filler) is expected for improving the poor reception of the digital terrestrial television broadcasting. To design SFN-GF efficiently by computer simulation, it is important to identify the arrival situations of multipath and feed them back to simulation model. In this paper, in order to improve estimation accuracy of multipath based on measured data, the delay profile is analyzed in detail. Moreover, the reception antenna appropriate for the proposed scheme is examined. As a result, accuracy of Direction of Arrival (DOA) estimation is improved.
