Developement of autostereoscopic Partial 2-D/3-D Switchable Display

(in English) We developed 12-inch 9-view autostereoscopic partial 2D/3D switchable display using liquid crystal gradient index (GRIN) lens. We optimized liquid crystal (LC) material and electrode structure. Also we simulated optically by the stacked refraction-index distribution model and the model matched the measured 3D performance well. The novel lens switching driving method enables 3D window size and position to be changed freely at high switching speed.
