Analysis of Phase Multi-level Recording in Microhologram

(in English) To validate the concept of optical phase multi-level recording in microhologram by the application of phase-diversity homodyne detection, a simulation was conducted based on the 1st Born approximation method. For comparison, phase signal from pit structure of BD-ROM was also experimentally and numerically evaluated. In both cases, phase signal was successfully obtained. In particular, phase signal from microhologram was much more stable despite the variety of their sizes than BD-ROM. These results show that microhologram is very suitable for our proposed phase multi-level recording by the application of phase-diversity homodyne detection.
