Hybrid FDTD Method Based on Explicit/ADI Schemes and Its Application to 2-D Analysis
Kyosuke Kuroda, Hideki Asai (Shizuoka Univ.)
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In this report, we propose a hybrid finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method, where the FDTD method and the ADI-FDTD method are used for the simulation of the space which is composed of two subdomains, where different cell sizes are used. By the proposed approach, the use of small time step size can be avoided, and then the CPU time is reduced. In this work, updating formula of the boundary between two subdomains is formulated. The validity of proposed approach is shown from some simulation results.
