In this paper, we propose a depth estimation method using belief propagation for the purpose of producing integral 3D contents. In this method, message distribution is used to reduce depth estimation errors caused by occlusion and textureless area. We focus on scenes of sumo wrestling in TV program and created 3D models from multi-view videos using our method. Then they were converted to integral 3D images. Our method is utilizable for glassless 3D TV based on integral photography. |
