Enhancement of localization for mobile robots by LRF using hue information from an omni-camera image

(in English) The purpose of this study is to enhance map-based mobile robot localization with Laser Range Finder (LRF) by using hue information obtained from an omni-camera image. The conventional localization method using only LRF is difficult in the environment that successionally has similar shape. In this paper, we propose the map-based localization combined with LRF and hue information obtained from an omni-camera image. By combining hue information, our method can maintain robot localization in the environment that is difficult to localize only with LRF.
