Analyzing Method of PDP Discharge Efficiency by Monitoring Panel Luminance and IR Emission Intensity

(in English) The analyzing method of PDP discharge efficacy by monitoring panel luminance and infra-red emission intensity has been proposed to improve the luminous efficacy. In addition, the method has been extended to analyze Xe pressure dependence of Xe excitation efficiency. In this report, the effectiveness of proposed method is evaluated by using the 3-dimensional PDP discharge simulator with fluid model. The simulation results reveal that dependence of (IR intensity/panel luminance) on voltage and Xe pressure reflects dependence of Xe excitation efficiency. However, there is difference of spatial distribution between Xe excitation efficiency and (IR intensity/panel luminance). Additional modification of analyzing method is necessary.
