An AutoShape Tool to create documents with hand-printing appearances

Hand-printing styles can be more preferable than normal printing in some documents, such as those for kids in elementary schools. Although there are many font sets with hand-printing appearances, it is still hard to handle figures with hand-printing appearances because such figures are not explicitly supported by most documentation systems like Office Word. This paper describes an AutoShapes tool that handles figures with hand-printing appearances. The tool was developed as an add-in of Micro-soft Word. Attentions were paid to avoid unnatural exaggerations of hand-drawn fluctuations during scaling operations. In experiments, positive responses from the subjects were obtained to the developed prototype. |
