An advanced video transmission system we are considering is a Field Pick-up Unit (FPU) that can transmit file-based videos efficiently, without decoding method.
To increase the efficiency of file transmission is required retransmission control using bidirectional transmission.
The authors are considering Automatic Repeat reQuest (ARQ) schemes appropriate for Time Division Duplex (TDD) that does not require additional frequency bands.
This report is concerned with Hybrid ARQ (HARQ) combined by ARQ with Forward Error Correction (FEC), and shows a comparison of type-I HARQ scheme (retransmitting same packets) and type-II HARQ scheme (retransmitting parity packets) in FPU.
From the simulation results in Gaussian noise condition, we acquire higher throughput and lower delay by type-II than type-I, therefore found an availability of type-II HARQ for bidirectional FPU using TDD. |
