In this research, we propose a new method of latency-free predictive projection for projection mapping on moving objects. Predictive projection uses images based on predicted movement of target objects, and is able to compensate for various latencies. In this method, we improve the prediction accuracy and reduce computational cost by focusing on visual critical areas. Moreover, generation of predictive images is implemented on GPU so that its update rate becomes to be 60fps, as extracting projector’s maximum performance. |
