A Note on Classification of Helicobacter Pylori Infection using Double Contrast X-ray Image of Stomach

Helicobacter pylori (H.pylori) is a bacterium that live in the stomach, it is known as one of the causes of gastric cancer. Generally, existence of gastric lesions, such as gastritis and a gastric ulcer, is diagnosed by physicians using the double contrast X-ray image of stomach. Recently, physicians try to diagnose H.pylori infection by using the double contrast X-ray image of stomach. However, such a diagnosis requires high experience and expertise, and the burden of physicians is large. In this paper, we propose a method for classification of H.pylori infection using image processing techniques. Some experimental results are shown to evaluate the performance of the proposed method. |
