Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) We evaluate the usefulness of our proposed technique for estimating the visually perceived locations of 3-D objects (3-D images). The systems for applications interacting between 3-D objects and observers' bodies need to execute the process for interaction when the bodies are directly at the visually perceived locations of the objects. However, techniques for estimating the visually perceived locations have yet to be established. In our previous studies, we proposed a new technique in which the visually perceived locations are estimated using observers action, and evaluated the feasibility and applicable range of our proposed technique. To evaluate the usefulness, we compare our proposed technique and conventional techniques, in which the visually perceived locations are estimated based on binocular disparity, in the efficiency on the pushing-up task. The results indicate that the efficiency is higher under the condition of our proposed technique than under the condition of conventional techniques, and this demonstrate the usefulness.
