Gesture-based Multiuser Slide Interface

This paper aims for providing effective presentations and having productive meetings in offices.
Generally, presentation applications are used in those presentations and meetings.
Less eye contacts and gestures, however, often occur by using those applications when a presenter focuses on operations.
Moreover, audiences are hard to operate slides.
In those cases, it is difficult to have deep discussions.
This paper proposes a gesture-based slide interface.
It allows multiuser operations by intuitive gestures for a meeting of approximately ten participants.
This interface provides pointing and paging operations.
Those operations are classified by a right arm posture.
In multiuser operations, an operator is detected by voice position estimation.
Mean squared error of pointing position is 7.91cm.
Accuracy of gesture classification, slide paging and operator detection are 97\%, 77\% and 67\%, respectively. |
