Improvement of Motion Estimation for the Different Color Plane for the Conversion of the Sequential Color Video

(in English) We have proposed the sequential color system for use as a video format. To realize this system, the conversion to whole RGB picture with the interpolation of missing color plane using motion compensation is required. We use normalized contour picture for the motion estimation of different color planes, because each color planes appear sequentially by a frame. However, there are many incorrect vectors in comparison with same color plane. We propose how to choose suitable motion vectors using evaluation of reliability of motion vector between plural color planes. As results of experiments, it is recognized that PSNR and subjective picture quality of conversion picture is improved.
