A Study on a Retransmission Packet Size for Bi-directional FPU using TDD

(in English) About file-based video transmission, the research of the authors is an advanced microwave Field Pick-up Unit (FPU) achieving high efficiency by applying retransmission control. In this report, we focused the retransmission packet size as a parameter of Type-II HARQ suitable for TDD, and examined the throughput and delay of this system. From the result of a simulation using 16QAM-OFDM under AWGN channel, smaller retransmission packet brought high throughput, and increased retransmission delay in low CNR. Retransmission delay decreases throughput in the transport layer over long-distance transmission for bi-directional FPU using TDD. Therefore, it was confirmed that applying large packet in high CNR and applying small packet in low CNR bring high efficiency.
