Performance evaluation of multi-user MIMO experimental system in time-varying channels

(in English) Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems are studied to increase the capacity of wireless sys- tems. In a multi-user MIMO (MU-MIMO) system, precoding can eliminate inter-user interference when the perfect channel state information (CSI) is available at the base station. However, in time varying channels, the transmission performance of MU-MIMO systems is severely degraded because CSI is outdated due to feedback delay. In this paper, in-lab experiments of a channel predictor are conducted. The results show that with channel predictors, the transmission performance is improved in time varying channels.
