Field Test of Mobile Video Watermarking Technology over Terrestrial Digital Broadcasting

We have proposed digital video watermarking method for a camera-equipped cellular phones, which is used for automatic content recognition of TV program for providing related information about such contents. In this paper, we evaluate the proposed method in a field test over terrestrial digital broadcasting. Using our method, we can successfully detect watermark embedded in broadcasting video, even from a distance of 4-6 times as screen height at 90% rate, and then it meets requirements of automatic content recognition. Moreover, we evaluate the operational facility and confirm that general users can easily use our application based on the proposed method with the minimum instructions. |
