A new Depth-fused 3D (DFD) method, “Deep DFD display”, to enlarge a range of DFD image depth

(in English) We propose a new 3D method, called “Deep DFD display”, which can enlarge the range of continuously perceived depth widely. In conventional DFD display, when the distance between front and rear plane is increased, perceived depth does not have a linear dependency on luminance ratio and is separated to near front plane, near rear plane and near midpoint between front plane and rear plane. In “Deep DFD display”, by changing the frequency distribution of front and rear images, perceived depth has been achieved to have a linear dependency on luminance ratio.
