Synthesis and Luminescence Property of the Phosphate Phosphor for White LED

(in English) A novel Eu2+-activated Ba2P2O7 phosphors were synthesized by a melt synthesis technique using arc-imaging furnace. The synthesized phosphors were obtained σ-Ba2P2O7: Eu2+ as a main phase, and exhibited green-emitting under the near-UV light. The highest emission peak intensity was obtained for (Ba0.97Eu0.03)2P2O7. Mg2+-codoped σ-Ba2P2O7:Eu2+phosphor improve emission intensity and showed yellow-emitting. The single-phase structures were successfully synthesized by doping Mg2+. Therefore, Mg2+-doped σ-Ba2P2O7:Eu2+phosphor is suitable for application as a blue phosphor for a near-UV LED based white LED.
