Concept and Design of a Novel CRLH Transmission Line with Variable Band Gap

(in English) Recently, CRLH transmission lines have been much attracted in microwave community. We have proposed a new design concept for microwave circuits utilizing the band-gap characteristic of the unbalanced CRLH transmission lines. As an example, a novel branch-line hybrid having a band-rejection function was examined to show the feasibility of this concept. However, this branch-line hybrid can’t change the rejection bands. In this paper, concept and design of a new CRLH transmission line with variable band gap are proposed to solve the issue.
