A note on estimating deformation based on Bayesian networks using images from bridge inspection

(in English) This paper presents a method for estimating deformation of bridges based on Bayesian networks. There exist strong relationship between types of deformation, parts and members of bridges and their visual features. Therefore, the proposed method generates a Bayesian network by using types of parts and members of bridges obtained from inspection and visual features of deformation. By using the obtained Bayesian network, the estimation of the unknown deformation from new inspection data becomes feasible.
