A study on MIMO-OFDM transmission using inter polarization spread

(in English) NHK is conducting research on the next generation of digital terrestrial broadcasting to enable large-volume content service such as Super Hi-Vision and studying on the large capacity transmission technologies using dual polarized SDM-MIMO. In the case of SDM-MIMO system, when XPD is small under AWGN environment, the reception performance deteriorates. This paper describes the computer simulation results of the SDM-MIMO transmission system using inter polarization spread for compensating the deterioration.
