Current mainstream music sheet is staff notation not limit to piano. Staff notation is used for many types of instruments and that has large information volume. However, it is difficult to understand staff notation for beginner player who are not used to reading it because of its complexity. Vertical line notation is a new type sheet that is easy to understand and put forward by Suguru Agata who is collaborator of this research. It has simple and intuitive design. In this study, we examined a method of creating vertical line notation from MIDI file. |
