File-based video system has become wide spread in the television-program production field. We are developing a TDD-based bidirectional digital FPU (Field Pick-up Unit) system for wireless video file transmission. We apply an adaptation modulation with high-order quadrature amplitude modulation schemes and 2x2 MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) for high-speed file transmission. Furthermore, to provide higher link reliability, the bidirectional digital FPU system implements HARQ (Hybrid Automatic Repeats Request) which combines forward error correction codes and ARQ. In this report, we describe an overview of the bidirectional digital FPU and report the development status of the functions adopted to it in order to realize high-speed file transmission. |
