Effects of color information on structure from motion

(in English) To reconstruct structure of an object by the motion information, it is necessary to solve ambiguity about structure of the object. Because it is known that the luminance and chromatic contrast are mediated by the magno pathway and the parvo pathway, respectively, both pathways are contributed to solve the ambiguity. Here, we investigate whether the konio pathway also contributes to solve the ambiguity in the perception of structure from motion. To test the contribution, we used S-cone stimuli for the structure from motion. We found that the konio pathway contributes to solve the ambiguity as well as the magno and the parvo pathways.
