TEEL devices coated with surfactant-free phosphor particles

(in English) In this study, we have investigated a synthesis of surfactant-free ZnS:Mn phosphor precursor solution and a preparation of inorganic electroluminescence (EL) devices. It has been found that the crystallization of ZnS is enhanced at pH value of about 9, resulting in relatively strong photoluminescence (PL) of ZnS:Mn. It has been also confirmed that the PL intensity is further improved by annealing at 450℃, however the grain size is not changed. The EL device using the annealed surfactant-free ZnS:Mn phosphor layer shows an orange emission due to Mn2+ centers.
