Direct synthesis of grapheme via alcohol CVD for flexible display applications

(in English) Light-weight and thin-thick transparent electrode materials have been required to realize flexible displays as alternative to indium-tin-oxide (ITO). Graphene is a one-atom thick carbon material with atomically flat sheet structure and a candidate material for a transparent electrode due to the high transparency in light and the high electron conductivity. However, the direct synthesis techniques of high quality graphene films on arbitrary substrates and or transport techniques of graphene sheet in large area are in progress. In this report, we studied a directly growth of graphene films via alcohol-CVD using ethanol as a carbon source and a feasibility study for a graphene flexible device as a gauge sensor. A large domain size of 500nm had successfully realized in the direct-CVD graphene films and the gauge sensor had demonstrated with 120 in gauge factor.
