Reducing Influence of Impulsive Noise in OFDM Systems
Hirotomo Yasui, Akira Nakamura, Makoto Itami (TUS)
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In OFDM system, one of the main problems is impulsive noise. All sub-carriers of OFDM symbol are influenced by the impulsive noise because it has very large magnitude and short time duration. Therefore, it is necessary to reduce the influence of the impulsive noise in the receiver. In the mitigation scheme, purpose of time sample replacement scheme is to replace the sample influenced by impulsive noise with re-generated sample. However, the performance of this scheme is degraded in higher order modulation such as 64QAM. In this paper, proposed scheme can achieve more BER performance than the conventional schemes.
