We have proposed a 3D display using the spatial cross modulation method (SCMM), which is a novel light complex amplitude generation method. The half of its basic operations is an encoding process by the numerical calculation of any complex amplitude field on a computer. Construction of high-speed basic operation simulator can contribute to improvement of the development speed and the encoding speed of the system. In this report, we develop a high-speed encoder and a high-speed basic operation simulator for new SCMM by utilizing our high-speed analysis method of volume hologram with GPU computing, and evaluate display performance for a 3D display system with new SCMM. |
