High-Speed and High-Precision Reference Beam Angle Control Technique for Holographic Memory Drive

(in English) We study the holographic memory system as a candidate of the archive storage corresponding to the information explosion era. For high-speed reproduction, it is required to detect the angle which provides best read performance and to control reference beam angle with high speed and high precision. We developed a reference beam angle detection optical system using the servo beam which is separated from the reference beam. And we developed Adaptive Final State Control overlapping two kinds of Final State Control to control a reference beam angle fast by using the detected angle. We confirmed the transition time between the hologram of 300 us in an actual system by these techniques.
