Comparison of Transmission Performance between MIMO Systems for SHV Wireless Cameras

(in English) The authors have been researching large capacity transmission technology using millimeter waves to develop SHV (Super Hi-Vision) wireless cameras. Based on a conventional wireless camera using a 2x4 MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) - QPSK (Quadrature Phase Shift Keying) system, we calculated the transmission rates by changing the modulation methods from QPSK to 16QAM (Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) or 256QAM, the MIMO structures from 2x4 to 4x4, and the transmission mode from conventional "half-mode" to "full-mode" which has a twice bandwidth. In this paper, the comparisons of required C/N and link margin between candidates which can achieve the transmission rate required for SHV wireless cameras are demonstrated by computer simulations. The result shows that a 4x4 MIMO-QPSK system using full-mode can perform the lowest required C/N and achieve 4 times larger transmission rate than that of the conventional system, suppressing the loss of the link margin by about 4.9 dB.
