We have proposed the magnetic memories utilizing parallel aligned nanowires without mechanical moving parts, in order to achieve ultra-high data transfer rate for the requirements of future 8K ultra-high definition videos and three dimensional videos. A virtual magnetic nanowire memory element is constructed by fixing a magnetic recording head, in which a couple of writer and reader were embedded, onto a fabricated [Co/Pd] magnetic nanowire. We investigated the performance test of recording, data-shift, and reproducing in above virtual nanowire memory structure and succeeded in demonstrating the operational principle of the magnetic nanowire memory. |
