New Magnetic Nanowire Memory utilizing Motion of Magnetic Domains: Formation, Accumulation and Detection of Magnetic Domains in Magnetic Nanowire by Magnetic Recording Head

(in English) We have proposed the magnetic memories utilizing parallel aligned nanowires without mechanical moving parts, in order to achieve ultra-high data transfer rate for the requirements of future 8K ultra-high definition videos and three dimensional videos. A virtual magnetic nanowire memory element is constructed by fixing a magnetic recording head, in which a couple of writer and reader were embedded, onto a fabricated [Co/Pd] magnetic nanowire. We investigated the performance test of recording, data-shift, and reproducing in above virtual nanowire memory structure and succeeded in demonstrating the operational principle of the magnetic nanowire memory.
