Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Network MIMO-OFDM can be seen as a promising technique for achieving high speed and high capacity transmission because the problems of inter-cell interference (ICI) and multipath fading can effectively be solved. However, ISI due to TDOA causes the significant degradation in the transmission performance with increase in cell radius. In this report, we propose the ISI suppression scheme which applies the periodic signals to the ISI-affected user. The proposed approach is inspired by the useful properties that a certain ISI-affected user does not interfere at all with the other users. Moreover, in the proposed scheme, the appropriate transmission mode is chosen between the traditional non-periodic and periodic signals based on the theoretical coded BER. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated in comparison with the traditional non-periodic transmission by means of computer simulations.
