Shadow Detection method based on Texture Analysis

(in English) Shadow detection techniques which can be applied to outdoor images are proposed. By considering photometrical and geometrical model of outdoor scenes, the positions where intensity changes sharply in image can be a good feature to separate shaded background from foreground. In this paper, we show how to evaluate the feature, how to estimate the recent status of shadow, and how to determine the shadow regions. Experiments show the effectiveness of proposed method.
