Basic Study on Rectenna for TV Broadcast Wave Energy Harvesting

(in English) A rectenna for TV broadcast wave energy harvesting is investigated for wireless sensor network. Generally, rectenna is composed of an antenna and a rectifier. Input impedance of the designed rectifier is 314 + j0Ω. Since output impedance of an antenna is a 50Ω, matching circuit is necessary between an antenna and a rectifier. Matching circuit is downsized by a crank-shaped microstrip line and an L-shaped shorted stub. The prototype rectenna is directly connected to the output terminal of the high-frequency oscillator, and the input and output voltage are compared using an oscilloscope.
