LDM-BST-OFDM Transmission for Next Generation Terrestrial Television Broadcasting

(in English) In this report, The combination of the LDM(Layered Division Multiplexing) scheme to the FDM(Frequency Division
Multiplexing) scheme based BST-OFDM(Band Segmented OFDM) that is being studied as the preliminary specification
toward the next generation digital terrestrial television transmission scheme is proposed in order to increase the frequency utilization
in stationary reception of UHDTV(Ultra High Definition Television). The basic performance of the proposed scheme
was evaluated by simulations under Gaussian channel and the improvement of the required CN ratio in UHDTV stationary
reception was confirmed.
