Reproduction of Cel Animation Perspective with 3DCG
Takeshi Okuya, Shigekazu Sakai (Wasaeda Univ.)
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In recent years, reproduction of cel animation by 3DCG is being done. In traditional production methods based on drawing and synthesis, each element has unique perspectives. This is a feature on cel animation representation. On the other hand, the general camera model of 3DCG creates a uniform perspectives. Therefore, it is necessary to resolve this difference. In this research, in order to reproduce cel animation perspective by 3DCG, we developed a method to move vanishing point and adjust perspective strength, using a multi-viewpoint matrix that is created for each rendering object.
