Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) With the development of computer graphics, we have come to feel as if CG characters were alive. Such kind of things are called "Animacy."
From previous studies, we know that we feel animacy in the actions of the objects. In order to produce characters that promise to be alive, it is crucial to make their actions manifest animacy. Skilled animators can produce such characters, though it is difficult for people who do not have such knowledge or skills.
Therefore, we categorize the movements of creatures, and thereby suggest a method to express the essence of animacy by stretching of mesh model. The actions are generated by autonomous calculation and user operations.
