Development of prototype 8K camcorder for functional evaluation

(in English) For efficient 8K program production, we have developed a prototype 8K camcorder to evaluate the performance and workflow of 8K camcorder. The camcorder can compress 8K video at a frame frequency of 60 Hz in real time with AVC/H.264 encoders, and the compressed video can be recorded in four SD memory cards. The camera head unit equips a 33-megapixel CMOS image sensor that used in conventional 8K single-chip cameras. The captured image has limiting resolution of 3200 TV lines, sensitivity of F8 at 2000 lux, and SN ratio of 54dB. Moreover, PSNR measurement experiment of compressed image was carried out and it was 45.9 dB at the compression rate of 1/80 and 44.0 dB at 1/240.
