[Poster Presentation] Aerial imaging by retro-reflection and multiple reflections (AIRR-MR)

(in English) This paper shows effects and applications of a new type of aerial imaging technique. Aerial imaging by retro-reflection (AIRR) has been proposed as an aerial image display method that features a wide viewing, a large-size scalability, and a low cost. Although the conventional AIRR can form an aerial image that is popping up without using an auxiliary device such as eyeglasses, there was a problem that the position of the aerial image is limited. This paper proposes aerial imaging by retro-reflection and multiple reflections (AIRR-MR). By introducing an additional beam splitter, we demonstrate aerial display with new functions such as multiple aerial images and display on the surface of an equipment on the table top.
