A Prototype Ultra-High Speed Global Shutter CMOS Image Sensor with 50Mfps Frame Rate

(in English) This paper presents a preliminary chip evaluation of over 50M frames per second (fps) burst global shutter stacked CMOS image sensor. A planer CMOS image sensor with 25 $times$ 100 pixels and in-pixel 80 analog memories mimicking the 3D stacked image sensor architecture was designed and fabricated. 50Mfps ultra high speed imaging with 80 frames was demonstrated by in-pixel correlated double sampling (CDS) mode.
