Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In this study, we aim at applying time-of-flight(ToF) depth imaging to a rigid endoscope based on our time-resolved CMOS image sensor. In endoscopic surgery, three-dimensional shape measurement of a living body is performed in a closed environment, so that the measured distances have errors due to multipath effect such as multiple reflection and scattering of the living body. The influence on the distance of the multipath component due to the distance measurement of the object in the closed space and the subject of various substances was actually measured. As the fundamental study, the influence of the multipath by the closed space and materials was experimentally measured with our image sensor.
