We propose a processing method for high sensitivity and high DR image acquisition by considering output characteristics obtained by an image sensor that can obtain two separate signals with different sensitivities. By connecting the characteristics of the output pixel value to the incident light quantity of the obtained signal, it is possible to achieve both high sensitivity and high DR. However, since the two input / output characteristics have a linear region and a nonlinear region, it is necessary to consider each nonlinearity. In this paper, we divide two input / output characteristics into a linear region and a nonlinear region, and apply correction on a nonlinear region to make a connection. The input / output characteristics and images obtained by this method were evaluated, and the effectiveness of the proposed method was confirmed. |
