In Japan, it is difficult to newly secure the 4K terrestrial broadcasting channel, so it is required to study the way to shift to 4K terrestrial broadcasting utilizing the existing terrestrial broadcasting channel. In this study, the current 2K broadcast is superposed on the high power layer of LDM(Layered Division Multiplexing) and the next generation 4K broadcast is superposed on the low power layer of LDM. In this paper, we report on the service area of 4K broadcasting when we place it in low power hierarchy with minimum influence on terrestrial digital broadcasting. |
