Lensless imaging devices enable small device size and wide field-of-view because they can be composed of very simple optics. However, the sensitivity of lensless fluorescence imaging devices have been lower than conventional fluorescence microscopes. This is because the performances of emission filters were low. To solve this problem, we have recently developed a high performance emission filter that can be applied to lensless fluorescence imaging. The proposed filter is composed of interference and absorption filters, that cover their shortcomings each other. Also, bright field imaging techniques for lensless imaging can be applied. In this work, by utilizing the small size and high fluorescence sensitivity, we demonstrate time-lapse fluorescence imaging of culturing cells in an incubate. |
