A Study on Marker Detection with Non-rigid Shape Estimation for Spatial Augmented Reality

(in English) Recently, spatial augmented reality has been used as a method of editing appearance of real objects by using projectors. The projection targets are not only static rigid objects but also dynamic rigid objects, and being non-rigid objects. This research aims to achieve a dynamic spatial augmented reality which can apply real-time projection onto clothes worn. For projection onto non-rigid objects, it is necessary to measure the shape of the targets. Marker-based methods available for handling of strong deformation have been proposed; however, the external occlusions disturb the observation information for them. Therefore, based on the whole target shapes estimated from their parts obtained, we explore the undetected markers, and project onto the targets even deforming or occluded.
