Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Nowadays the interests in men's skin care and makeup become increasing. To develop cosmetics for men, it is necessary to evaluate impressions on skin quantitatively. However, most of current evaluation methods are subjective and mainly for women. In addition, many of studies of quantitative evaluation of skin texture use special pictures taken by the microscope. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the aging impression quantitatively by processing facial images of men. We investigate correlation between quantitative feature parameters obtained by analyzing skin texture using image processing and subjective impression score. We found out some features which can be useful for quantitative evaluations of aging impression and proposed the evaluation method for aging impression by multiple linear regression analysis.
