Accuracy improvement of phase modulated signal by calibrating spatial light modulator

(in English) The modulation accuracy of phase-only spatial light modulators (SLMs) decreases by the distortion of the phase response due to the unmodulated light caused by the reflection from the gap of pixel electrodes. The calibration of the phase response of the SLM can improve the modulation accuracy in the case when the modulator to make a multilevel signal for holographic data storage. In this article, we experimentally evaluated a method to calibrate the SLM by obtaining the spatially varying phase response. As results of the calibration, we confirmed that the modulation accuracy of the phase image is improved.
