SAR Evaluations in the head close to wireless LAN router with multiple antennas

(in English) Along with the remarkable information conversion in recent years, the spread of wireless communication devices has progressed, and opportunities to expose the human body to electromagnetic waves are increasing. The biological effects of electromagnetic waves on wireless devices have been evaluated by various research institutes around the world. However, few examples of evaluating biological effects due to electromagnetic wave exposure by wireless LAN (Local Area Network) routers have been reported. Therefore, in this study, we evaluate the SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) in the human body close to the wireless LAN router by numerical simulation using a numerical human body model and numerical wireless LAN router model . In this paper, the SAR in the High-resolution numerical human head model was calculated and evaluated when the beam direction was controlled with the beam forming function. As a result, SAR becomes higher than the case that beam is not controlled, when the beam direction is controlled. In addition, all of the peak values of local 10 g average SAR obtained as the analyses were lower than the value provided by International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) guidelines.
