Evaluation of TCM to coexisting OOK and PSK in optical access

(in English) The subcarrier modulation technique being studied for introduction into the optical access network is not only the intensity of light but also the technique of modulation using the phase and wavelength which are the properties of waves. When these technologies are introduced into an optical network, it is difficult to update all of the users' and telecommunications carriers' terminals all at once. During the transition period, different signals of the modulation system are transmitted over a single optical fiber. In this situation, it is known that the error rate becomes high. Therefore, this study evaluates the effect of TCM which is coding modulation.
